Ben Rinnes Hill Race, 26 Jul'09

Sometimes it's more enjoyable to go for a hill run, rather than race and knock your pan in.
A group of us headed up to Dufftown to take part in the Highland Games Hill Race up Ben Rinnes, but to the suprise of my companions, I decided to head off 45 minutes early and run the race-route. This allowed me to take in the scenery, blether to folk and photograph the race. Excellent views north over the Moray Firth. Ben Rinnes has seen some pathwork recently, in particular replacing a wide worn path with a narrow zig-zag. But this didn't stop Andy Symonds from setting a new course record.
