Start of a week's holiday on the Outer Hebrides. With the intention of doing some research for the Pocket Mountains book, so some hillwalking and running combined with beach walks and sightseeing. The Ben Lee race date hadn't been confirmed to Scottish Hillrunners by the time we left Skye. When we arrived in Lochmaddy, we found out the date was 7th Aug and not 31 Jul ! But the organiser, Norman MacLeod, was very helpful and talked me through the route, which I ran over the next day. Berneray was lovely - the photo is the sunrise from the camping site next to the hostel.
