Meall na Gualainn, Nov'09

A fine corbett above Loch Leven and Kinlochleven, with amazing views for very little effort.

We'd been staying up at Roshven on the west coast, and on the way home I had enough time to run up this hill. It's an easy, straightforward, if wet route, to the summit. Having a fairly solitary position, the views east to Schiehallion, west to Ardgour and Beinn a'Bheithir and north to the Mamores are outstanding. Saw some guys on their scrambling motor-bikes as I was running fast downhill over the grass and through the dying ferns, returning to the road.
