Guided walk up Britain's 4000ft plus mountainsDays : 3 Max ratio : 1:8 Cost : £450 Dates : 8-11 May Spend 3 days bagging the highest summits in the UK over 4000ft Day 1 : Cairngorm and Ben Macdui Day 2 : Cairn Toul, Sgor an Lochain Uaine and Braeriach Day 3 : Aonach Mor, Aonach Beag, Carn Mor Dearg and Ben Nevis Based at the sumptuous Eagle View Guest House in Newtonmore, this package takes in the highest peaks in Scotland over a 3 day period. Meeting up on the Sunday evening at the guest house gives us a chance to get to know each other and plan the days on the hills. The first day takes a fairly leisurely pace to cross vast plateaux to reach the summits of Cairngorm and nearby Ben Macdui. After a relaxing evening back at base, where boots can be dried and tired legs can enjoy the luxury of a soak in a warm bath, its off to the western side of the Lairig Ghru and up the high circuit of Cairn Toul, Sgor an Lochain Uaine and Braeriach. Day three sees a gondola ride up to 650m from where Aonach Mor, Aonach Beag and Carn Mor Dearg are reached. The dramatic Carn Mor Dearg Arete is then crossed to clamber up to Britain's highest peak - Ben Nevis. Package includes 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast at Eagle View Guest House in Newtonmore, packed lunch and transport to and from the days' walks. Cost for each person is £450 and the maximum guide to client ratio is 1:8. Our first date is 8-11 May with more following later in the year. Cost is based on two sharing a room and there is a single supplement surcharge of £15 per night. If you are already staying in the area, perhaps you would prefer to join for part of the trip - depending on numbers, this can be arranged.
