Guided walks in Assynt and the far northDays : 4 Guide-client ratio : 1:6 Cost : £190 Dates : 6-9 April Spend 4 days over the Easter weekend hillwalking up the spectacular peaks in the far north of Scotland including Suilven, Quinag, Ben More Assynt and Stac Pollaidh Day 1 : Walk along remote paths to then scramble up Suilven's tops Day 2 : Conival and Ben More Assynt - the highest peaks in the far north Day 3 : The five summits of Quinag or Foinaven and Arkle Day 4 : Scramble up Stac Pollaidh or peak-bagging on the most northerly Munros General outline of trip : We'll meet up on the Thursday evening to get to know each other, discuss gear and plan our days on the hills. On Friday we will head along a fine path to the base of Suilven then, after gaining the crest, we'll discover interesting walls while taking in stunning views as we scramble along. Day 2 sees us visiting the Munro summits of Conival and Ben More Assynt. An option of Quinag or Foinaven and Arkle for day 3 - these are a complex mountains with dark coires, butresses, several peaks upon which excellent ridge-walking is enjoyed. Our final day one group will head out scrambling again, this time up little Stac Pollaidh, an unsual hill with many pinnacles and gullies, then taking a fascinating trip back in time while visiting the Bone Caves of Inchnadamph. Our other group will have a longer day, starting early and bagging Ben Hope and Ben Klibreck, the most northerly Munros. Cost of the 4 day guided trip is £190 per person, which also includes transport to and from the walk starts.
