An Sgarsoch is a rounded lump hidden in a remote corner of the southern Cairngorms. Sitting above the ruins of Geldie Lodge, its Munro summit looks out over several shoulders extending to minor summits and neighbouring Carn an Fhidhleir.
Fine estate tracks head in from Glen Feshie to the north-west, Glen Tilt from the south-west and Linn of Dee to the north-east. The Linn of Dee approach gets closest by bike from where faint paths climb up An Sgarsoch's gently rising and heather-clad northern slopes.
