Standing on its own between Loch Rannoch and Loch Errochty, Beinn a' Chuallaich is a heather-clad hill with a couple of summits, on the highest of which stands a tall well constructed cairn.

There are various possible start points for a hike up Beinn a' Chuallaich, most picking up paths and trods. The most direct route begins from the highest point on the B847, though there's very little in the way of paths to follow on this approach.

On the lower slopes of Beinn a' Chuallaich's southern face, a hillrace takes place as part of the Kinloch Rannoch Highland Games in late August. This is a tough wee race, heading from the village to the minor summit of Craig Varr.
