Overlooking Glen Loy, the grass-covered crests of Beinn Bhàn encircle Coire Mhuilinn. There are three summits, with the highest being the easterly peak where a trig point stands by a cairn and line of old iron fence-posts.

The most direct approach to Beinn Bhàn is from the south in Glen Roy starting by a bridge over the River Roy, where a rough path follows the Allt Coire Mhuilinn onto the hills lower slopes. There are no paths higher up, but navigation is straightforward following the line of posts.
