Beinn Bhuidhe is a rugged Corbett on the Knoydart peninsula. Forming a long, broken ridge on the south side of Glen Meadail, it lies opposite the Munro of Meall Buidhe and looks out across the length of Loch Nevis. This Corbett's rocky summit and flanking crags give it a bold character, while its position ensures wide-ranging views.
The simplest approach begins from Inverie, Knoydart’s small village accessible only by boat from Mallaig. From here, estate tracks head east into Gleann Meadail, following the glen through scattered woodland and past Druim Bothy. A stalkers’ path climbs the north side of the glen for some distance before the ascent becomes rough and pathless. The hill is often climbed on its own, but strong parties sometimes combine it with neighbouring Munros of Meall Buidhe and Luinne Bheinn in a longer expedition.
