Beinn Dearg is vast mountain at the centre of a group of Munros in Inverlael. This grey domed hill has a deep corrie on its eastern side and a 'famine wall' on its western shoulder built by destitute people for food in the 1840's.
Beinn Dearg also has several satellite peaks including the Munros of Eididh na Clach Geala, Meall nan Ceapraichean and Cona' Mheall and these can be hiked in one circular route aprroaching on decent stalkers paths. The more distant peaks of Seana Bhraigh and Am Faochagach can also be added in giving and epic day's hike.
