Beinn Leoid sits in a fairly remote setting between Loch Merkland and the wilderness surrounding Glen Coul.

Using stalkers paths for the most part, a fairly direct approach can be made from Loch More to the north or the forestry to the west of Loch Merkland. Away from the stalkers tracks, the area is quite wild and remote.
