Beinn Maol Chaluim is a quiet Corbett that rises discreetly between the better-known Glencoe giants of Bidean nam Bian and Sgurr na h-Ulaidh. Its long, grassy ridge culminates just short of Munro height, offering a fine vantage over both Glen Etive and the rugged Glencoe skyline. Despite its modest profile when compared to its lofty neighbours, the hill has real character, with a shapely summit ridge and airy views. It connects northwards via a high bealach to Bidean nam Bian, and westwards by Bealach Fhionnghaill to Sgurr na h-Ulaidh, making it a rewarding addition to longer outings in the area.

Beinn Maol Chaluim can be climbed from either Glen Etive or Glencoe. From Glen Etive, forestry tracks and faint paths lead up from the south onto open slopes, with the option to continue westwards to Sgurr na h-Ulaidh. From Glencoe, an approach via Fionn Ghleann gives equally direct access, though the glen is largely pathless and requires rough walking.
