Overlooking Loch Eilt and sitting to the west of Glenfinnan, Beinn Mhic Cedidh is a rugged Corbett hill in the north-eastern corner of the sparsely populated Moidart peninsula.
The most accessible point to gain access to the lower slopes of Beinn Mhic Cedidh along with its Corbett neighbour Beinn Odhar Bheag is from the high point on the A830 a few miles to the west of Glenfinnan.
These hills are in an unfrequented area where there are no paths, old walls or rusty fence-posts to follow and aid navigation. Once up Beinn Odhar Bheag and Beinn Mhic Cedidh, there is a feeling of remoteness and adventure, even though you're never far away from the A830 or West Coast railway line connecting Mallaig with Fort William.
