Beinn Mhic Chasgaig is a rugged Corbett in the Black Mount group, closely linked to the imposing Munro Creise by a high bealach with just over 150m of descent.

Tucked into the northern reaches of Glen Etive, Beinn Mhic Chasgaig stands as a compact, craggy Corbett on the edge of the Black Mount massif. Though overshadowed by the loftier Creise, Chasgaig has its own character with steep grass-and-rock slopes rising sharply from the glen.
Most likely aimed up from Glen Etive. If the River Etive is low and can be crossed, then a fine approach is to climb Beinn Mhic Chasgaig via its north-east ridge. Otherwise the river can be crossed using the bridge at Alltchaoruinn further down the glen and Beinn Mhic Chasgaig ascended by its western ridge.
Linked to nearby Creise by a bealach with a drop of just over 150m, routes can be extended to this Munro and further.
