Beinn nan Caorach is a discreet Corbett situated on the Glenelg peninsula, standing above the high pass known as Bealach Aoidhdailean—a boundary between the Glenshiel and Glenelg mountains. Beinn nan Caorach forms a quiet companion to Beinn na h‑Eaglaise, connected by a broad, grass-swathed ridge.

Beinn nan Caorach's southern aspect is noticeably steeper than the gentler northern slopes, yet this gives the most straightforward approach - starting from the end of the public road at Arnisdale, following a well-maintained estate track much of the way.

The approach from the north begins in Gleann Beag and involves a more extended trek across less defined terrain.

Beinn nan Caorach is often hiked in conjunction with Beinn na h‑Eaglaise as possibly part of a broader Glenelg ridgeline walk continuing onwards to Beinn Sgritheall..
