Beinn Tarsuinn is an interesting Munro peak in the southern fringes of the Fisherfield wilderness, its western shoulder forming a narrow crest curving around a little lochan along which some easy scrambling can be enjoyed.
If hiking Beinn Tarsuinn along with the other peaks in the 'Fisherfield Big 6', the most straightforward approach begins at Corrie Hallie by Dundonnell, from where a rough track heads into the wilderness. The use of a bike can be made on this track to reach the dilapidated building at Achnegie.
If aiming for Beinn Tarsuinn on its own or with its neighbour Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair, an approach can be made along the track from Kinlochewe, but worth noting that the northern shore of Lochan Fada is pathless and hàrd going and definitely not worth extending the route to A' Mhaighdean from this direction.
