Creag a' Choire Ghlais, Ben Armine

Creag a' Choire Ghlais is the northern of Ben Armine's two Graham summits, rising above the remote moorland and blanket bogs of the Flow Country.

Mostly a broad hill with gently rising grass and heather-clad slopes, Creag a' Choire Ghlais has a surprisingly steep eastern face. The summit consists of a wide, flat grass-covered crest on which stand a few tiny cairns from where extensive views stretch across the surrounding landscape with Ben Klibreck dominating to the west. Ben Loyal's distinctive summit skyline stands out to the north, whilst Morven rises prominently to the east.

Creag a' Choire Ghlais is most naturally climbed together with neighbouring Creag Mhòr, the two summits being linked by a broad bealach. Approaches are possible from either Ben Armine Lodge to the south or Badanloch Lodge to the north-east, both making use of estate tracks for much of the journey.
