Creag Mhòr, Ben Armine

Creag Mhòr is the higher and more southerly of Ben Armine's two Graham summits, rising above the vast expanse of the Flow Country.

Broad and gently contoured, Creag Mhòr's eastern face is surprisingly steep with cliffs that contrast with the hill's otherwise rounded form. A trig point stands on the summit, from where extensive views stretch across the surrounding landscape. Ben Klibreck dominates the western skyline, whilst Ben Loyal and Morven are prominent in other views.

If climbed on its own, the most straightforward approach is from Ben Armine Lodge to the south. Estate tracks provide access for much of the distance and are ideal for use with a bike. Creag Mhòr is, however, more likely to be climbed together with neighbouring Creag a' Choire Ghlais, either from Ben Armine Lodge or from Badanloch Lodge to the north-east.
