Following a fine estate track beginning from Innerwick in Glen Lyon, a pleasant and straightforward hike leads to a hut at the foot of Cam Chreag, from where a short distance up a grass-covered slope to gain the hill's summit.

If bagging the the Munro Meall Dearg from Loch an Daimh, Cam Chreag can be tagged in as a detour, requiring a mere 150m of additional ascent.
