Rising above Kingussie, Càrn an Fhreiceadain is a relatively featureless, flat-topped hill standing towards the eastern end of the Monadh Liath.

Estate tracks head up onto Càrn an Fhreiceadain and the Monadh Liath plateau from the towns of Newtonmore and Kingussie and other settlements on the A9 and these make for ready access to this and other surrounding hills.
