Standing between the glens of Strathglass and Strathfarrar and overlooking the woodlands surrounding the village of Cannich, Càrn Gorm is a little and rather unassuming hill clad in heather.
Càrn Gorm can be approached from a variety of directions, with the most direct of these being from the village of Cannich. The hill's slopes are for the most part covered in heather and pathless, though a line of old iron fence-posts aid navigation on the summit crest.
