Càrn Loch nan Amhaichean is a quiet and remote Graham rising above the head of Strath Rannoch in Easter Ross. It takes its name from the loch nestled below its eastern slopes. Although not easily spotted from afar, it’s briefly glimpsed from the A835 near Ullapool. The summit is marked by twin cairns and offers wide views across wild moorland and neighbouring Grahams.
An approach can be made from Glen Glass with a cycle aside lovely Loch Glass to Wyvis Lodge and a hydro dam, then a rough hike across pathless terrain gain's Càrn Loch nan Amhaichean's summit, taking Beinn nan Eun on the way.
From Strath Rannoch, a shorter, cyclable estate track route leads to the foot of Càrn Loch nan Amhaichean, from where a more direct line to the summit can be made.
