In the south-eastern Cairngorms overlooking the River Dee, Culardoch is a rounded heather-clad hill. Just short of Munro height, this is one of the higher Corbett hills, though very much in the shadow of nearby mighty Ben Avon.
Most people will opt to hike up Culardoch with neighbouring Creag an Dail Bheag and Càrn Liath from the col between the two Corbett summits. This col is at a height of 650m and can be reached by bike along fine estate tracks from Invercauld to the south, from the River Gairn to the east or from Tomintoul to the north.
