Duchray Hill stands between Glen Isla and Glen Shee, facing Mount Blair across the glen. Also known as Mealna Letter, meaning 'hill of the broad slope' (from 'meall na leitir'), its grassy slopes are crossed by an old wall running southwest to northeast over the summit ridge, where a cairn marks the high point.

Duchray Hill can be gained from the col above Loch Beanie, which can be arrived at from Glen Isla or Glen Shee, or from the forestry tracks that travel from the high pass below Mount Blair.
