Surrounding Glen Roy are several hills, with three of them called Càrn Dearg. This Càrn Dearg overlooks Glen Turret at the northern end of Glen Roy.

With some of the most tedious peat-hag and grass-tussock ground to cover, routes up to Càrn Dearg are a slog. A confusing summit in mist, but on clearer days, views reward the effort needed to get there !
