Stob Bàn may look rather diminutive compared to its larger neighbouring Munro, Stob Choire an Laoigh, but it has a rough charm of its own. Grass covered flanks lead to scree and bouldery terrain higher up. Stob Bàn is linked to the other Munros in the Grey Corries by a bealach at 800m with a lovely little lochan overlooking Coire Rath.

Most people approach Stob Bàn hiking (or biking) in on a fine track from Corriechoillie to the north. A good path heads up Stob Bàn's east shoulder and another heads north from Stob Bàn's summit to connect onto the main Grey Corries ridge.

Leacach Bothy sits at the foot of Stob Ban, a fine place if backpacking over the Grey Corries is your intention - though it is small and quite popular !
