Meall a' Chrasgaidh is the northern subsiduary top of Sgurr nan Clach Geala in the centre of the Fannichs. A wide crest connects these two peaks at a bealach at a shade over 100m below Meall a' Chrasgaidh's height.
Taken on its own, the most direct route to Meall a' Chrasgaidh approaches from the north where a decent track begins from the head of Loch a' Bhraoin. From this direction, Meall a' Chrasgaidh initially appears quite rugged with intimidating lines of crags. Fortunately the route turns up its west-facing slopes which are grass-covered and more forgiving.
Meall a' Chrasgaidh is most likely to be bagged with other nearby Munro peaks, either on route or as a detour from the main ridge.
