Meall Lighiche rises above the forests at the head of Glen Creran, a smaller and less prominent Corbett overshadowed by the dramatic peaks of Bidean nam Bian and Sgùrr na h-Ulaidh. Its rounded, grass-covered slopes give way to a steeper eastern face.
From the western end of Glen Coe, Meall Lighiche can be climbed directly as a straightforward outing, with grassy slopes leading easily to its summit. More ambitious walkers often extend the day by continuing along the old line of fence posts to Sgùrr na h-Ulaidh, and sometimes further still to take in other Munros on the ridges that culminate in the towering massif of Bidean nam Bian.
