Above the farmlands of Glenrath to the south-west of Peebles, Middle Hill is one of the many rolling hills overlooking Tweedsmuir.
Middle Hill, along with its neighbouring minor tops can be approached from Tweedmuir to the west or Glenrath to the east. From either direction, route finding is straightward following a fenceline crossing the hill's crest.
