Sgùrr a’ Choire-bheithe is a remote Corbett in the Rough Bounds of Knoydart, its long grassy crest rising above the head of Loch Cuaich. Falling just a metre short of Munro status, it offers fine views across Knoydart’s rugged peaks and lochs.
Most ascents start from Barrisdale Bay, with the easiest line up the north-western shoulder. The northern spur is another fine approach, perhaps linked with Slat Bheinn, while stronger walkers may extend the day to Luinne Bheinn, though Sgùrr a’ Choire-bheithe’s steep southern slopes make the link demanding. A more challenging line follows Druim Chòsaidh from the east, with some exposed scrambling near the summit.
