When viewed from Glen Dessarry, halfway along the ridge there appears what seems to be a rather strange obelisk - turns out just to be some shattered rock !
As an outlier to the Sgùrr na Cìche to Sgùrr Mòr chain of peaks, Sgùrr Cos na Breachd-laoidh can be climbed as a short and steep there-and-back detour from around halfway along this route.
Sgùrr Cos na Breachd-laoidh can also be climbed directly from Glen Dessarry taking a route up its grass-covered south-eastern shoulder. This route can be extended to take in Sgùrr Cos na Breachd-laoidh's neighbouring Corbetts of Fraoch Bheinn and Sgùrr Mhùrlagain.
