When driving along the A87 between Invergarry and Glen Moriston, Spidean Mialach appears a rugged mountain, with a rather pointy summit overlooking steep sided corries and the dammed waters of Loch Loyne.
Spidean Mialach's southern aspects are more gentle rising above Loch Quoich. Most hillwalkers will most likely aim to climb Spidean Mialach from this direction, tagging in nearby Gleouraich and hiking up old stalker's tracks and worn paths.
