Talla Cleuch Head is a subsidiary top of the more prominent Broad Law, sitting at the edge of the Southern Uplands. The hill is blanketed in smooth grassland and offers wide-open panoramas over the Talla and Megget valleys. A deer fence traces its summit ridge, enclosing one of the UK's Diamond Woods - a young native woodland planted as part of a nationwide initiative to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
The most straightforward route ascends from the Talla reservoir dam, climbing steadily up the south-west shoulder of the hill. It can also be approached as part of a longer ridge walk from Broad Law, or linked into a circular loop using nearby forestry tracks and glens.
