Beinn Achaladair is a prominent mountain in the group of hills east of Bridge of Orchy. Its long summit crest carries three cairns, with the central one marking the mountain’s highest point. The crest stands above steep ground and crags that plunge north-west towards Achallader Farm on the edge of Rannoch Moor, giving the mountain a striking profile from the north. To the south lies a subsidiary Munro Top, unnamed on maps but commonly referred to as the “south top”; it and the ridge linking onwards to Beinn an Dòthaidh rise above the corries of Coire Achaladair and Coire Daingean.

Beinn Achaladair can be climbed from several directions — most commonly with Beinn a’ Chreachain, approaching from Achallader Farm via a path that passes through Coire Achaladair and Coire Daingean. It can also be hiked as part of a longer round linking some or all of the Munros above Bridge of Orchy.
