Beinn Beinn Dòrain is a striking and graceful Munro that dominates the skyline above Bridge of Orchy. Its sweeping ridges rise dramatically from Auch Glen and the West Highland Way, meeting in a fine summit ridge that commands superb views over Rannoch Moor and southwards to Ben Lui. A large cairn known as the “Sassenach’s Cairn” marks a false summit and often tricks walkers in mist before Beinn Dòrain's true top is reached a short distance further on.

Beinn Dòrain is most often climbed from Bridge of Orchy, usually paired with neighbouring Beinn an Dòthaidh. It also forms the first stage of a longer circuit over all five Munros above the glen.
