As a detour from the usual route to Meall Chuaich, it's a straightforward hike to bag Creag Ruadh aiming up its heather-clad southern slopes.
Alternatively, Creag Ruadh can be climbed on its own directly from the A9 following ATV tracks much of the way to its summit.
