The heather clad lump of Leathad an Taobhain sits above the vast and remote undulating moorlands south of Glen Feshie.
From Glen Bruar to the south or Glen Tromie to the north, an old drover's route travels over Minigaig Pass, just to the west of Leathad an Taobhain. This path could be taken by those seeking the challenge of a long walking route.
If using a bike, a more satisfying route can be taken from Glen Feshie using a fine estate track which reaches Meall an Uillt Chreagaich, just over 1km to the north of Leathad an Taobhain's summit.
