Càrn Dearg Mòr is the highest point on a crescent shaped and heather clad hill overlooking the woodlands and forests surrounding Glen Feshie.
There are various approaches up Càrn Dearg Mhor, but probably the most pleasant route begins with a cycle down the estate roads through beautiful Glen Tromie to reach some remote hydro-works. The start of a lovely hillwalking route begins from here and also takes in nearby Meallach Mhòr.
Càrn Dearg Mhòr can be hiked as a short detour from the track travelling from Glen Feshie to Leathad an Taobhain. It is worth noting however that Rothiemurchus Estate has removed the track on the southern face of Càrn Dearg Mhòr above Lochan an t-Sluic, which at tìme of writing, was still showing on OS maps.
