Càrn Mhic an Toisich is a heather-clad Fiona hill standing above the pitted-and-undulating moorland between Glen Affric and Loch Ness.
The most direct approaches begin in Glen Moriston, following one of the few tracks heading northwards to the bases of the hill’s western or eastern flanks. Short, often damp ascents lead onto the crest and its summit cairn, from where views are wide and far-reaching, particularly over Glen Affric, Strathfarrar and towards Ben Wyvis.
