Meall a’ Chrathaich is a heather-clad Fiona hill rising above the moorland west of Loch Ness.
It is most easily reached from Glen Moriston, where the access roads for Bhlàraidh Wind Farm allow much of the distance to be cycled. From the most northerly turbine, a short, rough ascent over heathery ground leads to the trig-pointed summit, from which views extend widely over Glen Affric, the ridges of Mullardoch and Strathfarrar, and northwards towards Ben Wyvis.
Meall a’ Chrathaich can be combined with the neighbouring Càrn Mhic an Toisich on the same outing.
