Creag Uchdag is the highest point on a crescent of grass-covered crests between Loch Tay and the northern reaches of Loch Lednock. Its summit ridge, lined with old iron posts and the faint remains of an old wall, gives way to steep, rocky ground plunging toward Loch Lednock.
The most direct ascent starts from Ardeonaig on Loch Tay’s southern shore, where a grassy slope rises to Meall nan Oighreag, just to the north of Creag Uchdag, where the remnants of an old mine can be found. This can be extended over Ciste Buide a’ Chlaidheimh and Creagan na Beinne for a longer route with much up-and-down.
