Leum Uilleim overlooks a soggy heather and grass moorland landscape south-west of Loch Ossian. This rugged Corbett hill just misses out having a place in the Munro list by a few metres, but its height combined with an isolated position make its summit a fine place to stand and survey the mountain ranges of Lochaber, the Mamores and Glencoe.
The most practical start point for an ascent of Leum Uilleim is Corrour Halt which sits in remote moorland on the West Highland Line.
