Standing on the Kintail's Brothers ridge above Glen Shiel and between the Munro summits of Saileag and Aonach Meadhoin, Sgùrr a' Bhealaich Dheirg is the highest peak of the three, its summit set slightly back from the main ridge and on which stands a well constructed conical cairn.

Sgùrr a' Bhealaich Dheirg is most likely to be bagged on a route also taking in nearby Munros on the mountain ridge above Glen Shiel. The easiest approaches begin from Glen Shiel, though the Kintail Brother's ridge can also be gained from Gleann Lichd to the north. Once up onto this ridge, paths are easily traced along mountain crests with just a few little spots involving some simple scrambling, including a detour from the crest along a short ridge to bag the cairn on Sgùrr a' Bhealaich Dheirg's summit.
