Canisp from Loch Awe

Canisp

Canisp isn't as dramatic as other Assynt mountains, therefore much less visited and more untouched.

Although a fine mountain in its own right, Canisp is surrounded by other more dramatic Assynt mountains such as Suilven, Cul Mòr and Quinag. Canisp and its surroundings are therefore quiet in comparision.

There are two main approaches to Canisp, from the east, just south of Inchnadamph and from Glencanisp to the west. The Glencanisp approach is significantly longer, but has finer paths that reach closer to the summit.
