Above the head of Loch Ainort, the heather-clad lower slopes of Belig rise to a craggy summit, forming a compact yet rugged hill. Belig is linked by rocky ridges to neighbouring Garbh-bheinn, offering a striking profile when viewed from the roadside by the lovely Eas a' Bhradain waterfall.

Climbed on its own, Belig makes for a relatively straightforward and enjoyable hike. Combined with nearby Garbh-bheinn, it forms a more rewarding circuit that includes varied terrain and some light scrambling on the connecting ridges.
