Ben Klibreck's summit Meall nan Con sits high above wide ridges in Sutherland. Hillsides are heather-covered, turning a delightful shade of pink-purple in summer. The views from Meall nan Con are vast, over the Flow Country to the north-east and to the peaks of Assynt and Reay Forest to the west.
Soggy paths through wet, tussocky grass access the hill from various points. Higher up, terrain is pleasant with a fine path to follow on the wide crests. Best to climb this mountain on a clear day as aiming up on wet or misty days and the hike to Ben Klibreck's summit is a bit of a tedious trudge !
