Sàbhal Beag is a gentle, grass-covered Fiona hill standing in the Reay Forest, and is one of the peaks standing on the crests extending south-east from Meall Horn. It is the most northerly of the Fiona hills.
A track runs from the eastern shore of Loch Stack towards Gobernuisgach Lodge and Strath More, reaching its highest point at Bealach na Fèithe. This bealach, which links Sàbhal Beag with Meallan Liath Coire Mhic Dhughaill, lies at the southern base of the hill. From here, pathless ground climbs steadily up grassy slopes to the summit, making for a straightforward ascent. Longer options combine the hill with neighbouring tops of Meall Horn, or include it as a detour on extended outings through Reay Forest to Arkle, Foinaven and Meallan Liath Coire Mhic Dhughaill.
